Congratulations

We are delighted to announce that Celia Hore has been awarded, by the VMCC, the Syd Pelvin Trophy in this year's national awards. This award is given for a person who has done outstanding work within the Section. Celia became our first lady Chairperson in October 2014. Just before this appointment, she organised our first rally week end which was a great success and consequently the rally is now for a week. This year will be our 5th anniversary. Previous Chairmen have made the Section an enormous success and friendly group to be with. Celia has taken this one step further with the rally. Members come from far and wide around the Country and abroad. They return each year so she must be doing something right.

Her commitment to the Section was aptly shown when she flew without notice to the Isles of Scilly during the Baton Rally courtesy of Skybus. This was on top of organising the handover of the baton from Section to Section. Celia stood down from her role in 2017 but continues to take an active and important role within the Section, which is thriving due to her drive, commitment and enthusiasm.
