On Sunday 16th October 2022 the A.G.M. of the Cornwall Section of the V.M.C.C. took place at the Treviscoe Community Hall.
It was well attended no doubt due to the popularity of the two candidates that had been nominated for the post of Chairperson, their aims for the future of the Section were read out by the Secretary.
A paper vote then took place overseen by our South West Rep. Mike Larcombe. The result was as follows Peter Old 16 votes. Roger Hore 23 votes.
Roger Hore is therefore duly elected to be the Chairperson of the Cornwall Section of the V.M.C.C.
Single nominations were received for the posts of Vice Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer.
Janet Pascoe was elected as Vice Chairperson.
Peter Lee was elected as Secretary,
Clive Pascoe was elected as Treasurer.
They were all elected by those present with the exception of one person who abstained.
The following Committee members wished to remain in post;
Bernard Hand, Kelvin Tonkin, and Chas Mills.
New Committee members were George Pengelly and Peter Kempen, they were elected unanimously.
The Club person of the Year was also voted on by those members present,
Janet Pascoe won this award. It was richly deserved for all the hard work she had put in running Rally Week 2022.
